For the sake of the 10%, here goes.

My T4b project is about designing a shophouse for my client, which is Michelangelo, although he died like 500 years ago. I got inspiration for my design from one of his quotes: "I saw an angel in the statue and carved till I set him free."

The mood box was the concept, and it was simply to treat the mood box as a solid material, and take away parts from it until the final shape was formed.

Hence, from there, I treated the interior of the shophouse as a giant mood box, and it was literally shoving the mood box into the shophouse.

So from here, I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Escher's relativity model, made of postcards.

Didn't know what to do at first, except that we were to paste stairs all around the cube in awkward positions.

Drew 3 types. of tessellation: Tone, Colour and Patterns. Process was damn ley chey, had to map out random patterns from my orthography drawing, followed by following a formula, and combining them to form these tessellation.

So here's more term 1 work, after making all those models, we had to have a box to keep them in right? So here's my box, bought from IKEA and designed by me, althought the design looks like crap, there's a special meaning to it, let me explain.

The feel good box

Front view. My name.

Side view.

And what's inside.

Ok, so here's why my box is called the FEEL GOOD BOX. It isn't meant to make myself look good or anything, but rather it is to make others feel better. For example if they think that their design sucks to the skies, they can look at mine and they will feel better instantly. Sounds degrading but my works really sucks back then. Got a D- for studio.

Great, this blog is going to be graded, and almost everything that was supposed to be inside wasn't inside, but now is. :)

Last post was in April, now is like uh July coming Augsust? So its like uh 3 months of not posting up works. So here goes.

1st, starting from May, we painted 40! ping pong balls on the 5 themes of emotions, but too bad, I only managed to complete ~35 of them.

Here's some of them in my box. :)

Next up, metal wire volumes, which caused painful fingers. We were supposed to mould metal wires into 3 volumes, a cube, a sphere and a pyramid. After which mould it into another volume, combining the 3 volumes.

Here's the pyramid on top of the cube, but the sphere is missing. Maybe it rolled away. ........

More to come....

Russian Dolls! Which gave me sleepless nights and acute headaches. We had to make 4 layers of dolls, each being of a different feelings. my 1st layer was the season summer, followed by autum, winter and finally spring. Ok why did I start with summer when spring was seen as the beginning of a new chapter? Cause I did not want to start with spring and end up with winter, which would be of abit anti-climax, ending the dolls with a gloomy and cold season...

Hence, I started with a light hearted season, summer, and ended the whole model with a fresh new beginning, spring. Lots of thought put into it huh?

But again too bad, I lost most of the pics of my russian doll, only this was left.
Ok, so will stop here, gonna upload more another day!
